No Fuel Surcharge to Japan

Now most of airlines decided not to collect fuel surcharge for flights going to Japan!

*JAL and ANA will change the fuel surcharge amount to $0 for tickets issued on/after July 1, 2009 and on/before September 30, 2009.

Swine Flu Update

As of 06:00 GMT, 20 May 2009, 41 countries have officially reported 10 243 cases of influenza A(H1N1) infection, including 80 deaths

For traveling from Mexico, USA, and Canada to Japan, quarantine officer boards the flight and passengers will be checked body temperature by thermography in a way.

Still it is expected to take more time for entry procedure.

AA reduced fuel surcharge to zero

Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways are reducing the surcharge to zero for purchasing tickets from JUL'09.
Cause of this move, others are following to do same thing.
Continental Airlines decided to reduce the surcharge to zero for the flight departing from JUL'09.
Moreover, American Airlines has already reduced the surcharge to zero for the flight to Japan last week.
Although AA reduced the surchage, also fix the air fare a little bit up, so the total price might be not so different from before.
