CO will participate in Star Alliance on Oct. 27, 2009

Continental will join Star Alliance and also begin to cooperate closely with United Airlines by linking networks and services worldwide to deliver new benefits to customers.

Continental will end its participation in SkyTeam after last scheduled flight on Oct. 24, 2009.

Through Oct. 24, 2009, OnePass members can continue to earn and redeem miles and make reward reservations with continental airlines on SkyTeam partners.

It begins participating in Star Alliance on Oct. 27, 2009.

JAL re-implemented Fuel Surcharge

ANA (All Nippon Airways) and JAL (Japan Airlines) abolished their Fuel Surcharge on July 1, 2009; however, the surcharge will be re-implemented in response to the recent increase in the fuel price in the market.

The price is going to be $69/one-way to Japan with both of ANA and JAL for ticketing from 1OCT09.
